An onsite manager has been hired and lives with his family at the Mango House. They are responsible for general maintenance, cleaning, landscape works, ground transfers to and from the Cairns Airport, greeting guests and owners, and handling shopping and other routine tasks. In general, everything is taken care of, allowing the new owners to enjoy Alkira whether they are in-house or not, with services catering to both resort guests and the property itself, ensuring its ongoing maintenance.

Six guest suites, each with an ensuite and private balcony, are separately keyed to function like a resort, offering reservation options to book Alkira House in its entirety for one group of 12 or to book each room separately, double occupancy for six guest rooms. Shared common areas feature three seating zones with large-screen TVs and a game room.

Daintree Ferry River - crossing from Mossman to Cape Tribulation
With works commencing after the 2026 Wet Season, the Douglas Shire Council has allocated $9 million for infrastructure and civil engineering works, including a new ferry vessel with four lanes, to be finished by November 2027. These improvements aim to minimise congestion, reduce wait times, and provide a reliable and efficient crossing for locals, tradespeople, deliveries, and tourists. 
The drive from Port Douglas takes about 1½ hours, and it's 2½ hours from both Cairns International and Domestic Airports.

Helicopter direct
Alkira features a dedicated helipad, serviced by Nautilus Aviation, located 15 minutes by flight from Port Douglas and 30 minutes from Cairns. Upon arrival, the Alkira manager collects guests for a two-minute drive to the Alkira House.
