Byron Bay home connected to famous biscuit family for sale

HUNGRY for a Salada, Savoy, Chocolate Royal or BBQ Shape?

Susie Brockhoff, of the Brockhoff Biscuits family dynasty, is selling her Byron Bay home of more than 20 years.

“I chose this property because of the privacy, the ocean and hinterland views and the stunning natural surrounds that attract native birds and wildlife,” Ms Brockhoff said.

Her five-bedroom, three-bathroom house is bordered by National Park on three sides and neighbours the famous Rae’s on Wategos boutique retreat.

Ms Brockhoff has renovated the property, adopting environmentally-friendly measures.

“It was important for me to create a home that left as light a carbon footprint as possible,” she said.

There are solar panels, cyclone-proof tinted glass windows and overhead fans.

An elevated bush setting ensures views and privacy, aside from regular visits from inquisitive wildlife.

“I am currently feeding five kookaburras that visit daily,” Ms Brockhoff said.

“I see wallabies, goannas, echidnas as well as whales breaching and dolphins surfing in the ocean below.

The sale of this Byron Bay property is through co-agents Janis Perkins from Real Estate of Distinction, Byron Bay and Carol Carter from Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty.

There is also a self-contained two-bedroom pavilion located only a few steps from the main house, ideal for visitors.
