Helicopter devliery to Gold Coast luxury rooftop penthouse

THERE was an unusual sight in Southport this morning as a helicopter delivered supplies to the rooftop of a luxury penthouse.

The mid-morning chopper delivery caught the eye of bystanders as building materials were dropped to the Rivage Royale penthouse on Brighton Pde.

It is understood the new owners of the luxury three-level apartment have planned extensive renovations.

A notice advised residents of the impending delivery. “A helicopter will be delivering building materials to the B tower penthouse on Monday, July 10,” the notice stated. “At the request of the civil aviation authority the outdoor swimming pool, marina and surrounding areas will be closed from 9.30am until 10.30am.”

The penthouse was once owned by former fugitive businessman Lux Daswani and recently changed hands for $3.795 million.

The property had been on the market since November 2015 with different agencies and last year appeared on Channel 9’s prestige property show Unreal Estate.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty agents Jarrad Ireland and Carol Carter negotiated the mega sale earlier this year and said it sold it to a local buyer.

“They love entertaining so having that rooftop pool and alfresco area on the upper deck was also massive positive for them.” Mr Ireland told the Gold Coast Bulletin when the property sold.

“They were also drawn to the size of the property and the fact they will be able to put their own feel on it with potential renovations.”

With panoramic views of the Broadwater, Hinterland and the city skyline from Broadbeach to Southport, as well as a private rooftop pool and entertaining area, the 825sq m apartment epitomises luxury.

The four-bedroom, five-bathroom residence is decked out in glimmering chandeliers, ornate mural ceilings and a black and gold bathroom.
