Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty signs top agent for new office

ONE of Queensland’s most respected real estate agents has joined Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty.

Barbara Wolveridge has been appointed to the position of Director of Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty – Tropical North Queensland, based out of a new Port Douglas office.

“I am honoured to be bringing the reputable luxury brand of Sotheby’s International Realty to Port Douglas and its surrounds,” Ms Wolveridge said.

“Sotheby’s International Realty’s global reach of 930 offices, combined with my team’s comprehensive local knowledge, means we can now truly represent sellers and buyers in ways never before seen in this area.

“It places the region on the world stage again, which is so important.”

Since entering the real estate industry in 1984, Ms Wolveridge has had enormous success managing the transactions of million-dollar properties.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO Paul Arthur said the joining of Ms Wolveridge was very welcomed.

“Barbara is arguably one of the highest profile agents in the region with a rich real estate history and a track record of significant sales,” Mr Arthur said.

“We feel Barbara’s expertise, integrity and impeccable reputation is the perfect fit for Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty and the remarkable real estate experience we are renowned for delivering.”

The launch of the Port Douglas office will be Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty’s fourth office opening in 12 months, in addition to the creation of a rapidly expanding Projects and Developments division.

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty is already an established presence in North Queensland following its association with the notable sales of Mandalay House and Tanamera.

“Many of the property owners in the region are existing Sotheby’s International Realty clients, so it made logical sense for us to open an office in Port Douglas and support them with their varied needs,” Mr Arthur said.

“The Tropical North Queensland office’s region will extend from Port Douglas to Mission Beach, and west to include the Atherton Tablelands so it’s quite a significant footprint.

“We’re excited by the market as a whole and we’re buoyed by the level of recent investment in the area.”
